A bit about me…

I was born and raised in the South Bay. I spend my free time with my husband, three children, and two dogs. I enjoy hiking and spending time in nature.

I have found much joy and passion in supporting others on their healing journey. My interest in psychology began early. I initially focused on child development and then child psychology. Now my practice focuses on primarily with adults.

I have been working in private practice in the South Bay since 2010. Prior to private practice, I worked in inpatient and outpatient mental health facilities. Outpatient settings include Kaiser Permanente and community mental health facilities contracted by the Department of Mental Health.

I received my Doctorate in 2006 from California School of Professional Psychology/ Alliant International University. I received my Bachelor’s degree in 2002 from the University of California, San Diego. I have continued my post doctorate education focusing on mind-body oriented psychotherapy. I have completed a three-year training in Somatic Experiencing and am a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP). I am also an Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist and have completed an EMDRIA-Approved program. Other trainings include Internal Family Systems through the IFS Institute and certification in perinatal mental health through PostPartum Support International (PSI).
